A Bridge to and From Fantom!
A shiny new button has appeared on SpookySwap! This is a bridge Powered by Anyswap, uncomplicated and tailored to Fantom users. Easy and simple to use, anything you can bridge with Anyswap or Multichain can be done right on SpookySwap! Also check out the amazing art from SpookySwap's lead artist @shroOOoOoompy!
A bridge with a UI that doesn't need guesswork and goat sacrifices, well done
~ A quote from @salmundo2
This is one of the major barriers for new users getting into Fantom! Figuring out how to bridge your funds, what site to use, fees, exit liquidity etc. is hard to figure out early on, and users have learn all this before they even get onto Fantom! I am absolutely appreciative of the team at SpookySwap for taking initiative and creating this tool! That is why I broke it down even more than needed 😆!
Ethereum to Fantom
Steps:
Make sure you have Ethereum chosen in the From Chain
section and Fantom chosen in the To Chain
section.
Select the token you wish to bridge in the Select a Token
section. Do not worry about which token you have selected as this guide will work for them all. As an example I will bridge Ethereum!
- Depending on what you are sending there are fees associated with it! Check the bridge UI to confirm (as highlighted below)!
- As you can see in the warning above you must connect your wallet to the chain to wish to bridge from! To do this simply switch networks in Metamask or your Web3 wallet choice. In this case, Ethereum is already configured but for BSC you must add the network to your wallet!
- As you can see I was warned to wrap my Ethereum! If you do not have wETH you cannot use it on the Fantom Network! For more information on ERC20/FRC20 please check my resource here. But, please make sure you wrap your ETH! This is why it was chosen as an example!!!
Alright you are almost done! Select the amount of Token
you wish to bridge, make sure it is within the Max Bridge Amount
and the Min Bridge Amount
and that you are happy with the fee cost. Keep in mind large amounts may take up to 12 hours!
Then click Bridge Token
, you will soon get a message asking you to confirm your transaction in Metamask, check the details and hit Confirm
or Sign
! SpookySwap has a very nice popup (top-right of the screen) that shows the progress of the bridge transaction, wait to see Deposit
✔️ and Transfer
✔️ and you are done!
BSC to Fantom
A very similar process to Ethereum but I will go through it nonetheless!
Steps:
Make sure you have BSC chosen in the From Chain
section and Fantom chosen in the To Chain
section.
Select the token you wish to bridge in the Select a Token
section. Do not worry about which token you have selected as this guide will work for them all. As an example I will bridge BNB!
- Depending on what you are sending there are fees associated with it! Check the bridge UI to confirm (as highlighted below)!
- You must connect your wallet to the chain to wish to bridge from! To do this simply switch networks in Metamask or your Web3 wallet choice. In this case, you must add BSC to your wallet if don't have it, use these settings! But, you should have this already configured if you have funds in BSC 😆.
